The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) of investigation has registered an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and some others. Apart from the NCB the CBI also had registered an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty.
Rhea Chakraborty in a video which released by her shows how the movement of her family’s have been restricted because of the presence of media person on her doorstep. She said that she is even ready to cooperate with the police on the investigation and also urged Mumbai police to provide her and her family with protection. ‘there is a threat to me and my family’ – Rhea Chakraborty stated in her Instagram.
As there is an involvement of money laundering in Sushant’s death,
the NCB has registered an FIR against Rhea and some others under several sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
As a result Sushant’s former girlfriend Rhea’s brother Showik Chakraborty was questioned by the CBI for the first time. Also the CBI questioned Sushant’s flare – mate Siddhart Pithani in the consecutive day of questioning.
According to Rhea Chakraborty’s plea to transfer the FIR of the case from Patna to Mumbai, The Mumbai police had handover the case to CBI as per the judgement by the Supreme Court. Their team also visited Sushant’s flat to reconstruct the event before he was found dead on 14th July.
Sushant’s family has filed a case against Rhea Chakraborty by accusing her of mentally harassing him, taking his money and driving him to suicide.
On being investigated by 3 Central Agencies Rhea Chakraborty says that she is now in a real difficult situation. ‘My entire family are going through scrutiny everyday. Today there was a mob at my doorstep. My father was harassed, he was hit even my watchman is beaten up in my building inside the premises. They are not only harassing me but also the entire society, tomorrow they might ask us to leave.’ – Rhea Chakraborty said on a news interview. She also said that till now she didn’t speak out much due to the respect of Sushant.
On an interview Rhea Chakraborty said that Sushant’s
former girlfriend Ankita Lokhande was in touch with the late actor until the release of her debut Bollywood film Manikarnika in 2019. Ankita who dated Sushant denied by stating ‘first of all from beginning till the end me and Sushant were together about 23rd February 2016. He never had any conditions of depression and had never visited any psychiatrist. He was totally fine.”
The case has been registered under varoius sections of IPC including 341 (punishment for wrongful restrain), 380 (theft in dwelling house), 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) and 306 (abetment of suicide) and 120(B).
